Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 21 – Cambodia’s foreign affairs Prak Sokhonn will attend the Asia-Pacific High-Level Conference on Belt and Road Cooperation under the theme “Promoting Cooperation on Combating the Pandemic for Sustainable Recovery” to be held virtually on 23 June 2021 in Beijing, the People’s Republic of China.

The Conference will be chaired by Chinese state councilor and minister of foreign affairs Wang Yi with the participation of foreign ministers of Belt and Road Cooperation partner countries as well as high-level representatives from the United Nations. The Conference will exchange views on how to further strengthen collective efforts in combating the COVID19 pandemic, achieve socio-economic recovery as well as enhance partnership for sustainable and inclusive development.

Minister Prak Sokhonn will deliver his intervention focusing on many important aspects including the enhancement of an open and inclusive multilateralism, promotion of international partnership and cooperation in ensuring equitable global access to Covid-19 vaccines, and sustainable socio-economic recovery. He will also share his insightful and practical recommendations with the Conference.
