Phnom Penh, June 16 - ASEAN Access, a new portal for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the region, was officially launched today, 16th June 2021. #ASEANAccess provides comprehensive information on trade and market access in ASEAN and beyond. SMEs will be able to browse new products, business opportunities, be exposed to various trade and business matchmaking events and stay up to date with business and trade news in #ASEAN.

ASEAN Access is commissioned by the 10 ASEAN Member States, led by Thailand through the Office of SMEs Promotion (OSMEP).

Cambodia through the General Department of SME and Handicraft of Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation (MISTI) will launch #KhmerSME by the end of this year. KhmerSME is the new national SME information portal, serving as a one-stop center for Cambodian business owners. It will be connected to ASEAN Access and support especially Cambodian Micro, Small, and Medium enterprises in starting and developing their business.

ASEAN Access is supported by the project “Strengthening Regional Structures for Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion in ASEAN (ASEAN SME), funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
