Phnom Penh (FN), May 1 – Cambodia reported 388 new cases of COVID19, while 48 patients recovered on Saturday, according to the Ministry of Health's press release dated 1 May 2021 (updated as of 11:30 a.m).

The newly infected patient is a 29-year-old Cambodian migrant worker returning from Thailand to Cambodia on 29 April 2021.

The other 387 are patients involved in February 20 community event. They are from Phnom Penh, Kandal, Kampong Cham, Banteay Meanchey, Kampong Speu, Takeo, Prey Veng, Siem Reap and Svay Rieng.

To date, Cambodia has confirmed 13790 cases of COVID19 with 5200 recoveries and 96 deaths.
