Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 23 – Cambodia reported 655 new cases of COVID19, while 224 patients recovered on Friday, according to the Ministry of Health's press release dated 23 April 2021.

The newly infected patient is a 18-year-old Cambodian migrant worker returning from Thailand to Cambodia on 19 April 2021.

The other 654 are patients involved in February 20 community event. They are Cambodian, Vietnames and Chinese nationals from Kampong Cham, Kampong Speu, Kep, Mondulkiri, Tbong Khmum, Takeo, Kandal, Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh.

To date, Cambodia has confirmed 8848 cases of COVID19 with 3148 recoveries and 61 deaths.
