Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 17 – Cambodia reported 291 new cases of COVID19, while 23 patients recovered on Saturday, according to the Ministry of Health's press release dated 17 April 2021 (updated as of 11:00 a.m).

The newly infected patient is a 24-year-old French woman returning from Swizerland through Singapore’s flight to Cambodia on 3 April 2021.

All the 290 are patients involved in February 20 community event. They are Cambodian, Vietnamese and Chinese nationals from Prey Veng, Kandal, Sihanoukville, Svay Rieng, Takeo and Phnom Penh.

To date, Cambodia has confirmed 5771 cases of COVID19 with 2416 recoveries and 39 deaths.
