Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 27 – Cambodia reported 179 new cases of COVID19, while 58 patients recovered on Friday, according to the Ministry of Health's press release dated 27 March 2021 (updated as of 2:00 p.m).

The newly infected patient is a 31-year-old Cambodian man returning from Japan through South Korea's flight to Cambodia on 25 March 2021.

The other 178 are patients involved in February 20 community event. They are Cambodian, Chinese, Burmese, Filipino and Norwegian nationals from Prey Veng, Siem Reap, Kandal, Sihanoukville, Kampong Cham and Phnom Penh aged between five and 74 years old.

To date, Cambodia has confirmed 2147 cases of COVID19 with 1132 recoveries and nine deaths.
