Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 11 – Cambodian Ministry of Health announced the passing of a Cambodian COVID19 patient on Thursday.

Secretary of State and Spokesperson Or Vandine confirmed that a 50-year-old Cambodian man died on 11 March 2021, while being hospitalized at Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital, marking the first case of COVID19 death in the Kingdom.

The man was a driver of a Chinese businessman in Sihanoukville. He involved in February 20 community event, which started at N8 Club in Phnom Penh.

To date, Cambodia has confirmed 1,163 cases of COVID19 with 597 recoveries and one death.
