Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 4 – An autopsy conducted by Cambodia’s Ministry of Health confirmed that a 33-year-old COVID19 infected Chinese man died due to heart attack caused by drug overdose, according to the Ministry's official statement issued on Thursday night.

The infected Chinese man was tested positive of COVID19 on 28 February 2021 and received treatment on 1 March.

The death of the Chinese man today marks the first death of COVID19 patient in Cambodia.

To date, Cambodia has confirmed 909 cases of COVID19 with 484 recoveries and no death.
