Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 7 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen reaffirmed on 6 December 2020 that Cambodia will not declare a state of emergency for the “Community 28 November” event, as it will affects the Kingdom’s economy.
The premier wrote on Facebook late Sunday that he has seen fake news and propaganda spread on social media that state of emergency will be declared and Phnom Penh shut down, thus, requiring people to buy foods to stock at home.
“As head of the government, I reaffirm that there will be no state of emergency and shutdown of Phnom Penh as propagandised by the ill-intended groups,” the premier wrote.
Prime minister appealed to citizens not to panic, yet join with the government to combat COVID19 in accordance to measures set out by the Ministry of Health.
