Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 14 — Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen announced to donate 2 million masks and some medical equipment to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to help fight COVID19.

The premier told Fresh News CEO Lim Chea Vutha on Saturday.

Prime Minister of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith made a phone call to convey regards to Prime Minister Hun Sen and his wife while the duo are doing quarantine at home.

The premier said the Ministry of Health's Secretary of State Youk Sambath will deliver masks and the medical equipment by plane to Laos on Monday next week.

The two prime ministers also discussed cooperation and joint efforts to fight against COVID19.

Cambodia’s contribution amidst the difficult time reflects the strong commitments in helping friend in need.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, his wife, and entourages were all tested negative of COVID19 for the third time on 14 November 2020.
