Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 24 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said he will reshuffle his cabinet in time ahead as some ministries have been slow in delivering tasks.

The premier spoke in the press conference and a meeting with Supreme Council for Consultations on 24 February 2020 held at the Peace Palace.

“I just notify that there will a cabinet reshuffle soon,” he said, adding that “it is normal for cabinet reshuffle… when the ministries fail to effectively respond to the needs of the Royal Government.”

The Council of Ministers in the sixth mandate, led by Prime Minister Hun Sen, was formed in September 2018 when the ruling Cambodian People’s Party swept all seats in the National Assembly. Only minister, senior minister, and deputy prime minister are compositions of this cabinet.
