Sihanoukville (FN), Feb. 13 – Samples tested at the Pasteur Institute indicated that the 20 suspected passengers of Westerdam cruise are negative of Covid-19 infection, Cambodia’s Health Minister told Fresh News CEO Lim Chea Vutha on Thursday night.

“The results from the Pasteur Institute indicated no signs of Covid-19 among the 20 suspected passengers,” said the Minister of Health Mam Bunheng.

Cambodian authorities said on Thursday that at least 20 passengers of the Westerdam cruise, who have been ill, had to have blood samples tested at the Pasteur Institute for possible novel coronavirus infection.

It is worth recalling that Westerdam cruise, which has 1,455 passengers and 802 crew on board, docked in Cambodia’s Sihanoukville port at 7 a.m on Thursday local time after she was refused entries to six countries due to fearing of Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19).
