Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 14 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen urged journalists to use their professions to fight against inequality, corruption, and social injustice.

The premier addressed at the annual meeting with journalists on Tuesday evening, 14 January, attended by nearly 5,000 journalists at Diamond Island, organized by the Ministry of Information.

“Our journalists should contribute more to the fight against inactivity, for we need a clean and transparent society,” the premier said.

He also took note that social injustice is part of social instability, which could develop into armed conflicts.

“I would like to ask our journalists to talk about, but not distort the facts, the issues of inactivity, corruption and injustice,” he underlined.
