Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 8 – A senior Thai Airways official has clarified that the company adheres to a clear policy and respects the rights of its customers. In this sense, the company could not change the customers' booking even if the customer is in a blacklist.

Thai Airways official told Fresh News today that: "Only customer is entitled to change their ticket through online ticketing if any other flight is vacant. No official or staff of the company could change the customer's booking reservation."

Thai Airways' statement came after Rainsy told French international broadcaster RFI on 7 November that "someone changes his air ticket".

"A Thai Airways employee says exiled Cambodian opposition politician Sam Rainsy was not allowed to board a flight from Paris to Bangkok because his booking was not valid," according to the New York Times' report released on 7 November 2019.

Thai Airways says Sam Rainsy had no booking.

"The employee of the Thai flag carrier at Paris' Charles De Gaulle Airport, who answered a telephone call but declined to give his name, said a valid ticket had not been issued in Sam Rainsy's name and the economy class section for Thursday's flight was full. He said a booking in Sam Rainsy's name had been made for a new flight on Saturday."
