Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 2 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen stated that there are four factors that led people enjoy Pchum Ben Festival and travel across the country, addressing Wednesday at the graduation ceremony held at Koh Pich.

“I observed that four factors have allowed us to enjoy the festival and travel across the kingdom. First is peace. Everywhere in Cambodia is peaceful, so we can go to pagodas or any tourist sites,” the premier addressed.

“Before we had lots of warzones and mines. Now we have peace everywhere. If we could not maintain peace, do not even mention human rights and democracy,” he said, adding that:

“The second factor is physical infrastructure. With peace but without bridges and roads, we cannot travel to our homelands. Third is transportation. Today, we have many private vehicles and options of public transportation.”

“The fourth factor is income. If our people could not earn, they could not travel or go with family to pagodas,” he continued.
