Beijing (FN), Aug. 23 - Media delegation from Cambodia, headed by Fresh News CEO Lim Chea Vutha, and other 12 countries including Canada, Indonesia, Iran, Germany, Kenya, South Korea, Myanmar, Pakistan, Russia, Serbia, Thailand, and Turkey had a chance to experience achievements of  scientific and cultural innovation, held in Beijing on Friday.

Organized by Beijing Information Office and CRI Online to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China, the delegations have chance to watch the flag raising ceremony in Tiananmen Square to learn about the patriotism and respect of Chinese people towards their motherland.

The Government of China hosted flag raising ceremony every 5 a.m in the morning, which gathered tens of thousands of Chinese people of all walks of lives from different areas of China.

The media delegation also visited the Zhongguancun State-funded Innovation Demonstration Zone - China's high-tech industrial center and first national high-tech industrial zone. After more than 20 years of development and construction, Zhongguancun has gathered nearly 20,000 high-tech enterprises to build a unique development pattern of “one district with multiple parks”, becoming a high-end industrial functional area of the capital.

The delegation then headed to Zhongguancun Software Park, which is the core area of Beijing's construction of a world-class software city. The park displays window of China's innovation-driven strategic system, the key point for international cooperation and technology transfer, and the important source which demonstrates how technologies benefit the people's livelihood.

Among them, iSoftStone is a leading provider of software and information technology in China. The company was founded
in 2001 in Beijing, focusing on strong project delivery and technology research and development capabilities based on innovative technologies, such as cloud computing, big data, internet, and artificial intelligence. After 18 years of development, the company currently has 25 global delivery centers in more than 90 branches in 36 cities around the world.

More interesting than that, the delegates stepped upon a new landmark of Beijing's urban culture, known for its contemporary art and 798 lifestyle. 798 Art District is derived from the name of the old state-owned electronics industry in Beijing. In the development of the 798 Art District, the 798 consensus was formed, so it is referred to as the 798 lifestyle. After the artists and cultural institutions entered, they rented and remodeled the vacant factory buildings on a large scale. As a result, it has gradually developed into a collection of various spaces such as galleries, art centers, artist studios, design companies, restaurants and bars, with international atmosphere.

In that Art District, 751D·Park is one of the most creative industrial clusters in Beijing. 751 took use of the gas plant area (one of the original gas source plants in Beijing) for renovation. They protect the retained industrial resources by combining the industrial heritage with technology, fashion, art and culture, devoted to the development of creative design. There are cafes, bars and other leisure places that not only show the industrial civilization and leisure activities of the park, but also become the preferred location for many fashion designers.

“Beijing has a profound historical and cultural values and excellent environment to explore. I am particularly interested in the 798 Art District, which incorporates art, history, architectural space, cultural industry, and civilized living environment,” said Lim Chea Vutha, Fresh News CEO.

All the international media experts also learnt about Daqian Contemporary Art Center’s great work in reconstructing and displaying the process and context of Chinese modern art with contemporary inspiring perspectives.

Particularly, they learnt how China uses arts to help the innovation and change of public welfare and education services.
