Phnom Penh (FN), June 20 - Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen successfully concluded both the official visit to the Republic of Hungary and his participation in the 5th Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (5th CICA) in Dushanbe, Tajikistan from 13-15 June 2019, according to foreign affairs‘ press release dated Wednesday.

During his visit to Hungary, Prime Minister held a productive bilateral dialogue with Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Four cooperation documents signed, and embassies of the two countries will reopen in Budapest and Phnom Penh.

At the 5th CICA Summit, Samdech Techo Prime Minister delivered his remarks stressing that development and prosperity would never happen without peace and security. And without peace and security, we would not be able to deliver our commitment to the UN Global Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Furthermore he added that Cambodia was keen to explore more trade and investment opportunities with all CICA members States. We should work closer with the Belt and Road Initiative, which certainly could offer great opportunities for CICA members to accelerate regional connectivity and improve international transport and logistic system.
