Phnom Penh (FN), June 6 – Southbridge International School Cambodia has been approved by Cambridge Assessment International Education to offer its world-leading Cambridge programme.

The Cambridge Upper Secondary programme for students aged 14 to 19 is made up of two stages – Cambridge Upper Secondary and Cambridge Advanced – giving students a clear path for educational success. Each stage combines a world-class curriculum, high-quality support for teachers and integrated assessment.

Cambridge Upper Secondary leads to Cambridge IGCSE, the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds. Cambridge Advanced prepares students for university and higher education, and leads to Cambridge International AS & A Level qualifications.

Every year, nearly a million students from 10,000 schools in 160 countries prepare for their future with Cambridge programmes and qualifications. Success with Cambridge often gives students admission to the world’s best universities – in the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, Germany and beyond.

Christine Özden, Chief Executive of Cambridge Assessment International Education, said: “We are delighted to announce that Southbridge International School Cambodia has joined our global community of Cambridge schools and we look forward to a long and productive relationship with them.”

Head of School Ms. Tracy France said: “After just 2 years of operation Southbridge International School Cambodia continues to raise the bar in offering a world class international and bilingual education. We are expanding into Cambridge qualifications to offer our Grade 9 and 10 students the best possible opportunities to study at an overseas university after High School. Cambridge Advanced Level qualifications will be offered in Grades 11 and 12.”
