YEREVAN, Oct 3 (AFP) - Armenian lawmakers voted on Tuesday to ratify the Rome Statute, the founding treaty of the International Criminal Court (ICC), a move that the ex-Soviet country's historic ally Moscow had warned against.

A broadcast of the Caucasus country's parliament session showed 60 deputies voting in favour of the proposal with 22 mainly opposition lawmakers voting against joining the ICC, which has issued an arrest warrant for Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
