Phnom Penh (FN), May 15 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen commended the leadership of Tea Banh, head of the Cambodia SEA Games Organizing Committee (CAMSOC), in SEA Games preparations, speaking at a graduation of over 3,000 agricultural students, held on Monday (May 15) at Diamond Island.

Hosting the games is more challenging than chairing ASEAN summits, the premier added.

"I would like to thank and praise Tea Banh for his leadership in organizing the games from the beginning until the end. I also would like to emphasize that hosting the SEA Games is more difficult than hosting ASEAN summits,” the premier underlined.

For ASEAN meetings, ensuring safety of heads of states and preparing content to be adopted was quite difficult, but hosting SEA Games is more difficult as we must ensure security, travel safety and smooth preparations for sporting delegates from different countries, the premier added.

Samdech continued, the Royal Government has deployed forces to ensure the safety of the delegates.
