Japan (FN), Sep. 27 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen and Vietnamese president Nguyen Xuan Phuc expressed their appreciations for the two countries cooperation in all sectors.

Both leaders spoke during a banquet on Tuesday (Sep 27) in Japan, as the two leaders attended the state funeral of former Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe.

The two leaders agreed to further solve the remaining tasks, in particular to complete the remaining of border demarcation as soon as possible. They also discussed various issues on bilateral relations, regional and international issues.  

Premier Hun Sen briefed his presence at the 77th Session of the UNGA and official visit to Cuba’s Havana to his Vietnamese counterpart.

The premier also highlighted many fruitful outcomes with Vietnamese prime minister on bilateral, multilateral, regional and international relations.

For his part, Nguyen Xuan Phuc applauded the premier’s wise leadership on the kingdom's rapid development in all sectors. He also lauded for the two countries’ government for working hard to ensure mutual benefit of the citizens, in particular the growth of trade between the two nations despites COVID19 outbreak.

The Vietnamese president wished the premier a success as the rotating chair of ASEAN to serve the region interests.
