Takeo (FN), Mar. 2 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen expressed his concern that Cambodian economy will be affected by the latest bump of global oil price.

The premier spoke in an inauguration ceremony for the official use of National Road No. 3 in Takeo province on Wednesday.

“Cambodia’s economy has been plagued by COVID19 pandemic; it might be worsened by the Russia-Ukraine war as oil price is surging,” the premier said.

Premier Hun Sen urged Cambodian people to understand that oil prices are increasing everywhere, not just in Cambodia.

As of 2 March 2022, the price of regular gasoline in Cambodia is 4,800 riel (USD 1.2) per liter and 4,500 riel (USD 1.1) for diesel per liter.
