WASHINGTON, Nov. 7 (CGTN) - Joe Biden said his campaign is going to win the presidential race with a clear majority, in an address on Friday night, saying he's on track to win over 300 electoral votes.

"The numbers tell us a clear and convincing story: We're going to win this race."

"We're beating Donald Trump by over four million votes," said Biden, referring to the popular vote, adding the margin is still growing.

Biden moved closer to winning the White House on Friday as he expanded his lead over President Donald Trump in battleground states.

He is currently leading with 264 electoral votes, according to the AP projection, while incumbent U.S. President Trump is on 214 as both need 270 electoral votes to win the presidency.

As tension grows over vote counting, Biden called for calm and urged every vote to be counted.

"We need to remain calm. Patient. And let the process work out as we count all the votes," said Biden.
