ISLAMABAD, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- The Pakistan Navy said on Wednesday that it successfully conducted a live-fire demonstration of anti-ship missiles from multiple launch platforms.

"Pakistan Navy conducted Live Weapon Firing (LWF) of anti-ship missiles from surface and aviation platforms in North Arabian Sea," Rear Admiral Muhammad Arshid Javed, director general of public relations, said in a press release, adding that the navy's warships, airplanes and helicopters successfully hit their targets.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, who was present as the chief guest at the demonstration, expressed satisfaction over the navy's combat readiness to defend Pakistan's maritime frontiers.
