Phnom Penh (FN), June 19 - Cambodian Minister of Economy and Finance Aun Pornmoniroth and Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Gao Yan, on Tuesday, chaired the signing ceremony of a number of agreements and official grant aid announcement on school buildings and educational supply equipment at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, according to the ministry's press release.

According to the press release, the documents to be signed include: (1) letter of offer-receive US$ 2.5M Grant Aid for implementing demining and unexploded ordnances project; (2) agreement on the Master Plan on Transport System in Cambodia including land, rail, water, civil aviation and logistics; and (3) agreement for the Royal Palace’s restoration, architecture, archaeology, and stone carvings project in Siem Reap.

Besides, school improvement and equipment supply will build 26 high school buildings and one teacher training center in Phnom Penh, one center in Kompong Cham and one center in Kandal province, as well as other necessary equipment.

The signing ceremony and the official declaration are a new fruitful result of a comprehensive strategic partnership between Cambodia and China under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Sen.

From July 2001 to 19 June 2018, the Chinese government pledged to grant $5,276 financing cooperation, of which $1,221 million is grant aid are aid and zero-interest loan.
