Phnom Penh (FN), May 9 - FUNCINPEC Party has registered to race in the July's election, according to the National Election Committee's spokesman Dim Sovannarom on Wednesday.

Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced on Monday a list of 38 political parties that registered at the MoI in accordance with the Law on Political Parties, according to a letter from the General Administration Department of the MoI.

As of today, five political parties have registered to race in July's elections, including Cambodian Youth Party (CYP), Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), Cambodian Nationality Party (CNP) and Khmer National United Party (KNUP), and FUNCINPEC Party.

So far, 22 political parties have received registration forms from the NEC, and eight political parties deposited finance at the National Treasury to prepare for the election.

The registration for the forthcoming National Assembly 6th mandate election lasts 15 days from April 30, to May 14, 2018.
