Phnom Penh (FN), May 9 – Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn, on Monday, met with Chui Sai On, Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China.

“Both sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding Between the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia On Cooperation Framework for Promotion of Friendship,” the ministry’s wrote in the statement dated on Wednesday.

“This MoU aims at promoting exchange and cooperation in tourism, culture, study and training, trade, youth and business exchanges in accordance to the belt and road initiative,” the statement added.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Macao Special Administrative Region expect to contribute to promote Chinese investment in Cambodia, particularly on tourism and Cambodian agricultural trade.
