Sihanoukville (FN), April 23 - The first five-star hotel, "The Royal Sands Koh Rong," by Oknha Kith Meng, located in Koh Rong Island, Preah Sihanouk province, was inaugurated on Monday, presided over by Prime Minister Hun Sen.

The 6-hectare hotel, worth of $40 million, features 67 modern villas, of which 30 includes private swimming pool.

Minister of Tourism Thong Khon said that the five-star hotel will promote Cambodia's economy; and create jobs for local people. The hotel reflects the potential of Cambodia's tourism and the development of services in the southwest coast of Cambodia.
