Prime Minister Hun Sen also told Kentaro Sonoura that the political situation in Cambodia is much better compared to other countries in the region.

“There are many political parties in Cambodia to compete in the upcoming election. I used to tell the former CNRP leaders, who still can participate in politics, to form a new party to race in the election, as not everyone will vote for the ruling party,” said Prime Minister Hun Sen.

Kentaro Sonoura pledged to pass this information to Japanese government. He added that the Japanese government continues to support Cambodia.
