Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 21 – Prime Minister Hun Sen announced that all demining operators in Cambodia, whether in Cambodian Mine Action Center (CMAC) or other organizations, are allowed to receive free medical examination and treatment as garment workers.

The announcement was made in a meeting with 15,197 garment workers in Phnom Penh’s Terk Thla on Wednesday.

In response to CMAC director’s request regarding the free medical treatment for demining operators, PM Hun Sen has approved the request and asked Health Minister Mam Bunheng to be responsible for this task.

The premier added that free medical treatment for all demining operators in Cambodia is included in the same equity fund as the workers.
