Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 18 – At least 44 people deceased and 91 others seriously injured in 66 accident cases during the four-day festival of Chinese-Vietnamese New Year from February 15 to 18, 2018, according to the report updated by the Traffic Police Department and the Public Order of the National Police Commission on Monday.

The report also showed that traffic accidents during Chinese New Year in 2018 decreased eight times compared to 2017, and the number of injured people decreased by 29; however, the death toll rose to nine.

Most of the accidents caused by over-speeding, drunk driving, and overtaking.
