Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 4 – Prime Minister Hun Sen, on Thursday, held the inauguration ceremony of a new health building in Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital.

The building, named as Samdech Akka Sen Padei Techo Hun Sen Building, consists of 6 floors and 76 rooms.

Mam Bunheng, Minister of Health, said that the treatment building is a modern building which has been constructed on the 550 square meters plot of land and spent around $3 million.

Minister added that the ministry will use the new building for treatment on eyes, ears, nose, throat and mental illness.

Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital was built in 1950s and launched on August 29, 1960. Now, the hospital is a public administrative institute and national hospital that provides services on 26 specialties.
