Seoul, South Korea (FN), Nov 10 - South Korea's Lanmei Airline will launch up to 35 direct flights a week to Cambodia in January 2018.

The launching ceremony was held on Thursday evening in Seoul, South Korea, with the participation of Long Dimanche, Cambodian ambassador to the Republic of Korea.

The ambassador said the flights between Cambodia and South Korea would reach 70 flights per week, both departure and arrival.

Lanmei Airline mentioned that they saw an increase in the number of South Korean tourists to Cambodia and of Cambodians to South Korea.

Long Dimanche considered Lanmei Airline's flight to Cambodia as a response to Cambodia's open-sky policy that will attract 7 million tourists by 2020.

By January 2018, there will be flights from Incheon International Airport to Sihanouk Ville to meet the demand of tourists, investors, as well as Cambodians living in Korea.
