Phnom Penh (FN), November 5 – Eng Chhai Eang’s son, Eng Ratanak, posted several messages on his Facebook page, attacking Kem Sokha and Kem Sokha’s supporters.

Ratanak said that Kem Sokha was not the breath of Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) and politics continues even without him.

The comments came a few days after Kem Sokha’s daughters, Kem Monovithya and Kem Samathida, posted messages attacking former president of CNRP, Sam Rainsy.

"Whether there is Kem Sokha or not, politics still exists! Even if Kem Sokha is not there, politics is not the same as it is now and still continues”, Ratanak wrote on his Facebook.

Responding to his son’s messages, Eng Chhai Eang apologized to CNRP’s supporters who live inside and outside the country, saying that his son had health problem.

CNRP was created by merging Sam Rainsy’s Party and the Human Rights Party in 2012. While facing the dissolution of the CNRP, the party is also facing internal rift.
