SIHANOUK VILLE (FN), Feb. 8 – A boat carrying six foreign tourists and two crew bound for a resort island, Koh Rong Sanlem, 18 km off Sihanoukville port, and about 200 Km from Phnom Penh, sank when it was about half-way through. The six passengers and the boat crew have all been rescued, police said.

Sihanoukvlile Police Commissioner, Chuon Narin, said his unit immediately sent off rescue workers to help all the victims of whom six were Vietnamese tourists; four female and two children.

The accident took place at around 10:35 am, on Feb.8. It was a 20-seat speedy boat, and was due to bad weather, Gen. Narin added.
