Phnom Penh (FN), August 10 - Deputy Prosecutor Sieng Sok of Phnom Penh Municipal Court issued a verdict ordering the police to take over Morn Phalla, Chief Executive Officer of the Cambodian National Rescue Party (CNRP) for questioning over "intentional violence" on a youth in Phnom Penh's Meanchey district in late May 2017.


Morn Phalla, 42, is currently living in Sangkat Teuk Thla, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.

On May 28, 2017, a victim was beaten by a group of about 10 CNRP supporters, while he was riding a motorbike through CNRP parade.

A day later, the victim filed a complaint against the CNRP supporters at the Meanchey district police station.
