Phnom Penh (FN), August 8 - Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe stated that the number of Japanese tourists and investors in Cambodia has increased substantially, while many more Cambodians visited Japan.

The statement was made on 50th anniversary of the founding of ASEAN.

“In 2017, Cambodian footballer Chan Vathanaka has been playing for Fujieda MYFC in Japan for the first time”, stated Abe.

The vision of the Japanese leader is thus in line with the Royal Government of Cambodia's policy of attracting Japanese tourists and investors to Cambodia.

With this close relation, Cambodia-Japan also connects direct flights from Phnom Penh to Tokyo through ANA airline.
