Phnom Penh (FN), August 1 - Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen will pay an official visit to Japan on Sunday.

The official visit was held to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the exchanges of visits of the first Japanese Prime Minister to Cambodia during 1957.

The remark was made at the graduation ceremony of RULE at Diamond Island Exhibition Center on Tuesday.

Over the premier’s upcoming visits, Japanese Ambassador Horinouchi Hidehisa is expected to exchange the ideas concerning cooperation on economics, trade, strategic partnership and its connection to the development of Human Resources.

There are also discussions about traffic facilitation in the city and cultural cooperation in the exchange of communication between Cambodians and Japanese people, and about the establishment of Consulate General of Japan in Siem Reap.

During his visit to Japan, PM Hun Sen will attend a joint workshop of Japanese investors.

The visit falls on the 25th anniversary of Japanese peacekeepers arriving in Cambodia and the 60th anniversary of the first Japanese Prime Minister's visit to Cambodia in 1957.
