Phnom Penh (FN), July 26 -  Prime Minister Hun Sen met with the Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia, Horinouchi Hidehisa, at the Peace Palace on Wednesday.

Horinouchi Hidehisa discussed the premier's upcoming visit to Japan, where he is expected to exchange ideas concerning cooperation on economics, trade, strategic partnership and its connection to the development of human resources.

There are discussions on new ways of facilitating traffic in the city and cultural cooperation in the exchange of communication between Cambodians and Japanese people, and about the establishment of General Consulate of Japan in Siem Reap.

The premier's visit to Japan coincides with the 25th anniversary of Japanese peacekeepers arriving in Cambodia and the 60th anniversary of the first Japanese Prime Minister's visit to Cambodia in 1957.

During his visit to Japan, PM Hun Sen will attend a joint workshop of Japanese investors.

"The Japanese Prime Minister and senior officials and Japanese people are waiting to welcome the premier during his visit to Japan," said the Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia.
