Phnom Penh (FN), May 12 - Commune Council candidates for the Cambodian National Rescue Party (CNRP)'s  have resigned.

Letters of resignation were sent separately to the CNRP, on May 8 and 9, 2017.

"I hereby resign my candidacy due to my capacity and health problems," the candidates wrote in the letter.

"I foresee that CNRP could not ensure the interest of my family, society, and the people," the letter added.

The CNRP has been bogged down with infighting amongst their candidates.

Some of them left and joined Cambodian People's Party (CPP).
