Phnom Penh (FN), May 10 – The account owner of the fake "Long Dimanche" profile apologized and requested for a pardon from Prime Minister Hun Sen.

The user had posted graphic photos and claimed that UN Peacekeepers were beheaded in the Central African Republic under the name of the Korean Ambassador Long Dimanche.

The apology was made Wednesday at the Kompong Cham police post office, but only after the premier condemned the owner for posting the false content.

“I suggest that Facebook's "Long Dimanche"  immediately change the content or deactivate. This has negatively affected military honor,” the Premier previously stated.

“This account user needs to shut down the page or the government will take action,” he added.

The following  Facebook post was created after the death of one of the soldiers:

A U.N. Peacekeeper from Cambodia was shot dead during an ambush in the Central African Republic yesterday.
