PHNOM PENH (FN), Jan. 18 — Chief of anti-forest crime taskforce said Monday that all border-crossings with Vietnam used for illegal timber exports have been closed.

Gen. Sao Sokha, head of the newly-formed National Committee to Prevent and Combat Forest Crimes, told his team at the first meeting of the taskforce that it was the preliminary actions taken by the Committee to crack down on illegal logging.

The Government set up the 10-member National Committee on 15 Jan. and it is led by Gen. Sao Sokha, National Military Police Commander.
