“This year, we celebrate not only the 20th anniversary of the Cooperation Agreement between EU-Cambodia, but also the 40th anniversary of EU and ASEAN relations, and the 30th anniversary of the Erasmus program, which allows Cambodians access the best universities of Europe,” he added.

“To celebrate the anniversary, the EU has organized various programs such as:   a tuktuk campaign, radio and television ads, and discussions at universities to explain the achievements made so far and the achievements that can result from the EU-Cambodia in the future,” he said.

EU-Cambodia relations have improved since the signing of the agreement on April 29, 1997 and entered into force on November 1999.
