Phnom Penh (FN), April 5 – During a press conference on Wednesday, the Committee for Free and Fair Elections in Cambodia (COMFREL) confirmed that 90% of Cambodians have registered to vote.

The information was shared during a conference entitled "Auditing Results of the NEC’s Registration List 2016 for Commune Council Election 2017”.

“90% of Cambodians have registered to vote. The voter information in the National Election Committee (NEC)’s registration list is 98% transparent and accurate,” stated the panelists.

The panelists included: Kem Chhorn, Conference Coordinator, Korn Savang, COMFREL’s Observer, and Sam Kuntheamy, Project Coordinator for Neutral & Impartial Committee for Free & Fair Elections in Cambodia.

The Commune Council Election will be held in June 04, 2017.
