Phnom Penh (FN), March 29 – Deputy Prime Minister Bin Chhin, Acting Minister in charge of Council of Ministers (CoM) has been assigned to shoulder more responsibilities to address the facing issues on behalf of Prime Minister Hun Sen, according to the decision of the government, signed by the premier on Monday.

The decision stated that, “DPM Bin Chhin will coordinate the works among CoM, prime minister, and other DPMs.”

Bin Chhin will oversee and coordinate the Khmer Rouge Tribunal, and one-window service of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, except the affairs of sensitivity that requires recommendations from the premier.

Bin Chhin will review and decide on the requests of children’s adoption on the behalf of the premier. He will also lead National Authority for Land Dispute Resolution and Cambodia’s Council of Justice; and prepare the answer to respond to National Assembly’s members in accordance to the Constitution stipulated in article 96.

He will also assist the premier on preventing and fighting against corruption, according to the decision.
