Siem Reap (FN), March 24 – The Cambodia-Thailand Border Meeting will be held from March 29-30, 2017 in Siem Reap, according a press release from Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defense (MoD) issued on Friday.

The 12th General Border Commitee Meeting will be chaired by the Cambodian Minister of Defense Gen. Tea Banh and Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan, Thai Minister of National Defense. The purpose is to solve border issues between the two countries.

“The meeting focuses on expanding and strengthening military cooperation between Cambodia-Thailand for peace, stability, cooperation, and development at the borders,” according to the MoD’s press release.

Cambodia will also discuss initiatives regarding drugs, terrorism, and transnational crimes that will foster peace, stability, security, and development at the border.
