Kratie (FN), March 15 – During the past two months, officers have tracked down more than seven tons of tainted food and chemical substances across Cambodia, according to Mok Pichrith, the delegate in charge of Camcontrol.

With the cooperation from the authorities of Kratie province, Mok Pichrith led his specialized group equipped with a mobile laboratory to test 75 different products sold at the local market. As a result, they found five varieties of vegetables containing pesticides and other unhealthy chemical substances.

“This inspection was conducted in an effort to track down contaminated fruits and vegetables which could harm people’s health,” stated Mok Pichrith.

“The officers confiscated about 7 tons of goods across Cambodia,” he added.
