Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 27 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen asked visiting Malaysian counterpart Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim to further implement existing mechanisms to promote the protection of Cambodian workers' rights in Malaysia.

The premier spoke during a joint press conference with Malaysian prime minister Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim on the outcomes of the bilateral meeting, on Monday (Mar. 27) at the Peace Palace.

Cambodia and Malaysia signed in Phnom Penh today two documents on workers, namely (1) Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of Malaysia and the Royal Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia on the Recruitment, Employment, and Repatriation of Domestic Workers; and (2) Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of Malaysia and the Royal Government of Cambodia on the Recruitment, Employment, and Repatriation of Workers.
