Phnom Penh (FN), Feb 1 – The National Assembly (N.A) is investigating allegations against a Cambodia National Rescue Party’s lawmaker having an affair in the office of the N.A, according to N.A’s spokesman Leng Penglong.

The investigation began after an Extraordinary Parliamentary Meeting on Tuesday. N.A. President Heng Samrin presided over the review under National Assembly (N.A)’s internal regulation article 48 (NEW-III).

“The National Assembly is thoroughly investigating this case. If the affair really happened, the N.A’s General Secretary will take action according to the law”, said Leng Penglong.

The premier also requested a blessing by monks to rid the National Assembly of any bad luck.
