Phnom Penh (FN), Jan 30 – Prime Minister Hun this Monday revealed a short private conversation with Kem Sokha, acting president of Cambodia National Rescue Party on nominating Kem Sokha as the “Minority Leader” in the National Assembly (N.A).

The premier sent a message to Kem Sokha on 07 Dec. 2016 at 7:34 A.M and received a reply 20 minutes later.

In the message, the premier said to Kem Sokha that many people are not satisfied with the nomination of H.E [Kem Sokha] as the minority leader and representative leader and that they want Sam Rainsy to be the minority leader and you as the representative leader.

The article 48 (III-New) of an Internal Regulation requires one person to possess both titles. If you refuse this nomination, I will amend this internal regulation.

Kem Sokha replied that "just keep it that way."

Prime Minister Hun Sen will further illustrate this case to the public in the N.A’s Extraordinary Meeting tomorrow.
